It’s the original finish that was on the receiver when it was manufactured by international harvester.

Very odd.. That would be a first. I have handled now perhaps a thousand International Harvester M1s. None of them were ever blued coming from International Harvester.

I use the word blue, obviously it was parkerized from the factory, since you have handled 1000 of them, you know that when the parkerizing is wore /rubbed with oil, it has that nice finish that is on this one. I bought this from the Cmp I never changed a thing. It is exactly how they sold it. Never fired it.
Here is a picture of a Winchester I bought the same day that has the same finish.
