Interesting phenomenon

Texas 10 has a write up... on here. Good write up?
I don’t know.
This isn’t a thread about annealing vs not annealing, or flame annealing vs salt bath annealing vs induction annealing. It’s about why two dies produce different sooting effects, all else being equal.

Increasing time and temp for annealing, and going slightly stiffer on the charge weight combined with the added neck tension of leaving out the expander gave me 2 cases that seem to have sealed at the neck/shoulder junction out of 10. They could be outliers, or I could be onto something.
What I can say is that they all shot sub half moa for the ten shot group off a bipod and my hand for rear support. Forgot my bag at home. Considering this rifle’s intended use, I’m almost content to just not worry about it any further.
If I decide to sell this die in the future, I’ll be completely forthcoming.

Some soot on the neck/shoulder is really not an issue. If it’s accurate and velocity is acceptable, I wouldn’t give it a second thought. Excessive soot down the case body could indicate low chamber pressure.

It could also be as simple as different powder formulation from whatever is used in the factory loads you were using before.
I disagree.... maybe on the neck but not shoulder. I experienced that with low charges, but I looked in a couple of load books, and his charge is higher than max. I'll take a stab at it and say 4350 is too slow for the 6.5 Creedmore.
