When I was a kid, my dad had a Browning SA-22. It was a beautiful rifle and loved shooting it. I ended up with the Ruger 10/22 we had when I joined the Air Force. Passed it to my son and when we lost him in 2021, it came back to me. But, that SA-22 has always been a rifle I wanted.

Not an SA-22, but the Norinco clone. They had it on the wall at the shop when I went in today to have the sights changed out on my Sig. I cleaned it up and it is in beautiful condition.

I have a Belgian SA22 my grandfather had. I'm so glad he bought that gun. It has the wheel rear sight that has notches for 25-50-75-100 yds and it is very accurate. In the past couple of years Browning made some with heavy threaded barrels and I really wish I had bought one. Compared to the Ruger 10/22, they are the cat's meow (to me anyway). Easier to take down, easier to clean, and very accurate. I guess the only pain is if you wanted to mount a scope.

I got mine in 1967, Made in Belgian $90. New.

There was a scope mount that was common then, can remember maybe from Browning.

I just ordered a scope mount for it. I think you have to remove the front sight.

That sounds like a beautiful rifle. Do you know what year it is? I have never seen one with the adjustable wheel sight in the rear.

Beautiful rifle. His was a Belgium as well. I just remember the scroll work on it.
