I am getting together part to have a 6br built on a Remington 700 SA. I have a Krieger barrel, HV 1 in 8, Holland recoil lug, and wondering what is the best follower to use? I am also wondering what would be a good base? Who would be a good builder for this project, I'm looking at using Dave Bruno? What kind of accuracy should be expected for a 6br built on a 700 action?

I would say that with a good barrel being screwed into a properlly trued action with the bolt sleaved or replaced installed into a good stock properly, the accuracy potential should be great. My latest gun is a 260 with a Lilja barrel and a rem 700 sa with a PTG oversized bolt and it will shoot in the low .2's consistantly from a bench. I would assume that the 6mmBR would shoot as good probably better.
I recommend the guy that built my 260 to everybody that ask about having a gun built, his work is as good if not better than anybody out their,his prices are compairable and his wait is generaly alot shorter. Here is a pic of the gun and a link to his web site

When you pick a gunsmith ask for names of others who have used him and are they happy.
BIG BIG BIG Question What's his turn around time? There are some good smiths that will screw you around for nine months, even a year or more. Find out before you give him any of your components or cash. Sometimes it's hard to get them back after you've surrendered them.
I live in south central Pa. and can recommend a couple around here if you'd like to e-mail me.
What kind of accuracy can you expect? Do a search on the Berger 108's, or my name. I have a 6BR on a Remington 40XB action that will shoot with any of them out there.
