inline nk. die by wilson

i would like some feedback as to the above die i recently traded for one i like the seater by wilson but the nk. die just gets a little over half the nk. this is 6mmbr lapau brass 272 no turn nk. im used to nk. sizing most all of nk. with redding type s nk. dies any info appreciated thanks shooter63

There's some thinking that the unsized portion of the neck help keep the cartridge centered in the chamber.

All Wilson sizers are designed that way. If you need to full length size, you will need to buy a F/L die, or get a Wilson blank and have your smith chamber it.

Why would you desired more sizing length anyway?
Unless downsizing necks from another cal, I can see only bad in FL sizing necks.

You may be able to get a little more length from your Wilson die by placing a small washer on the case head, then running the cartridge into the die. That's how my 22BR works, at any rate. . .

And I do just opposite of onomrbil (machine bushing AROUND head) to decrease sizing length. So there you have it,, Wilson neck sizing can be adjusted.
No matter the bullet or how deep you seat it, either 1/2cal or 1/2nk sizing length is certainly sufficient. There is no detriment from the unsized length, and small adjustments in length(more/less) can be useful in tuning.

The only problem with use of a Redding bushing die, is the errors introduced by the press it's screwed into.. It's less probable that you can nail sizing length as precisely with a threaded die and press -over an inline and arbor.
