Inletting a basic inlet McMillan stock

I have a basic inlet McMillan A5 stock that I need to inlet. I have inleted laminated stocks before, but not a fiberglass. Any tips on working with the fiberglass. It is a molded in camo and I don't want to mess the finish up.

Also, anyone know of someone I could send it to to be inleted? Might be the easier way to go. I know McMillan, but the 4-6 month wait makes this not an option.

Thanks
Hitman

It really is no different than inletting a wood stock..
Go slow and keep checking your cuts, and all will be good....

Thanks, that is what I was wanting to hear. Just wanted to make sure before I wrecked a $500 blank.

We do inletting, and not turning business away, but go for it. In a composite stock if you completey wreck it, YOU can fix it. Some epoxy, sandpaper, patience and some matching paint, elbow grease, etc it will look better than what McMillan did.

And while you're at it-
Install some inserts so the sling swivel studs don't pull out of that McMillan stock.
