Initial report on eTargets from Lodi Nationals

I shot from target 2 on Saturday. As an additional datapoint, in terms of elevation, my last shot for record of match 12 was right above the waterline (my hold was also right on the waterline). With no adjustments made on the scope and a dead center hold, my first sighter of match 13 almost 3 hours later was about halfway between the waterline and the bottom of the X ring.

If your waterline was on the center of the X, what you describe is about a quarter minute drop. Probably within the realm normal. My shift on target 7 was much more significant.
Although I was told that this was not the case by Mark I've still got my doubts.
Dan Chisom published my two targets for matches 12 and 13 on this thread. I think the vertical shift is visible when you look at the two sighters for match 13.

Anyway I just brought this up as a point to remember for future matches using the e-targets. Either don't change faces before matches with limited sighters or somehow make sure that the backer and face are in the exact same position (relative to the sensors )as they were in the prior match.

Fritz,
Our target frames are keyed to the target carrier to ensure repeatability in a lateral direction. The key in each target fame is in the same spot. The keyway is also centered in each target frame.
The target carrier is raised up high enough to let the counterweight rest on the ground. At this point a pin is inserted into the target column to give the target carrier a place to rest.
The repair centers are put on like they would be anywhere else, over the top of the original target.
If someone put a new center on your target offset enough to cause you an impact change as you describe you would clearly see through your scope the f class center lower than the original target. I guarantee you if your center was changed it was within a couple millimeters of where it was calibrated.
