Inherited 2 rifles..

My Dad is 83 and just decided to give me 2 rifles. They aren't worth much at all and aren't sentimental to him. Both have very few rounds through them and are about 16 years old. I don't have kids or relatives with kids to pass them down. I have similar rifles so don't need the calibers to add to my own collection. I don't live in an area to use them as truck guns. A gun shop or pawn shop would not give much at all for them. Could possibly trade them for something else but would be sad how little I get for them. Maybe customize them for fun? Looking for ideas...

i have three guns my dad gave to me. that was quite a few years ago. Hes gone now.
those guns have much sentimental value to me and i also have no one to pass them down to. i think there are many people in this position. mabie we should start a museum.

Think it over long and hard. I have sold a couple in my day that I wish I never had. Grew up poor and got in the habit of selling or trading something I had to purchase something I wanted. That being said, hang on to them until you find a youngster that would love to have them. I had a .410 that I bought from an Uncle when I was 11 years old. First gun and only gun I owned until after I was married. No telling how many rabbits and squirrels were harvested with it, along with a few pheasants. I refinished the stock and had the barrel reblued, then put it away for my first born grandson. Never got a grandson and only one granddaughter, so I gave it to a young man that hunts with his dad. Seemed like the right thing to do.

That would be a nice idea, Like buying that gun from your uncle at 11
Give a kid something awesome to work for - his first gun
Make him appreciate it more having to work for it too
