I have a flashlight, the barrel measures 1.23" I need a scope ring
of sufficient size to hold this light for mounting on a rail. Does a
ring this big exist??? Thanks in advance. LDS

That is 31.24mm. A 34mm ring is 1.339". Some 30mm rings are likely heavy enough to be enlarged.

Are you speaking of say tape on the light to shim the space????
I have used this type ring for 26mm scopes, Even though the inserts were to shim down to one inch, You just hit the insert slightly on one end of each insert with the belt sander and they work good.

The inserts are polymer.

I have a pair of BURRIS 30MM and w/o the inserts the light will not fit in the ring. The 34s should be close, I hope. Thanks for all of your help.
OH by the way this is for my Armadillo shotgun. I already have a rail mount w/a light, but the light is to weak for my tired eyes. This new light is a rechargeable lithium and is super bright. It's just to big for my existing ring. LDS

I’d get an extra wide 6 screw 34mm ring, shim the edges w/ wraps of tape to make sure of alignment , then bed the center portion with bedding compound.

34mm ring, roll of electrical tape. Wrap light barrel with tape until desired width is achieved. Layer of cushion hurts nothing. Its a flashlight. Snug it down firm enough. Problem solved.

I got my shotgun flashlight project complete. I used a MONSTRUM 34 MM 6 screw ring and some black tape, and made a good looking installation. A small 100K rechargeable light is wicked. I already had a picatinny mnt. on the gun from a previous smaller flashlight. Thanks to all who replied. I wish I knew how to post a picture. LDS

Well……it is a flashlight…..so your use of electrical tape is an NEC and OSHA approved use.
 ;)

I use an oversized scope ring, with gorilla tape on Streamlight super tac IR with my night vision scope. Holds and points lined up with the scope(mounted on top of scope).
