Info on vortex viper

Hi im looking at vortex razor 12x50 binoculars for goundhogs and out west when i get back out ther. I was also looking at a viper hs to put on my .22BR walkaround ground hog gun i was wandering if the trurets track as good as people say they do thanks!

Same here, Just sold my Vortex Viper 6-24x50MM. Only reason I sold it was to upgrade to the Vortex Golden Eagle for long range matches.
The Viper is an excellent scope, I think you would be very pleased with one.

At work we had a Vortex Viper with a bullet hole through the front bell.
Vortex replaced it for free! That's service.

MClark - how did you get a bullet hole through the bell? Ive seen a photo of that somewhere i think it was a Vortex add or catalog & thought it was a setup.

I have 14 Vortex riflescopes anything from crossfire II's to Viper Gen 2, and 3 halo red dot on pistols. They all perform great I even spin the turret on my crossfire II 6-24 that I use on my CZ 22LR for woods walk / adventure shoots and it returns to zero (which surprised me).

The only issue I had was a crossfire lit reticle stopped working & I sent it back & had a new scope in about a week or 2, I remember it was fast. I also was at a gun shop where the custom brought in a svoe that had the tube crushed & they replaced it.

I am a gunsmith, or so they tell me.
The boss was checking headspace on a Savage, the scope was in a box pointed up about two feet from muzzle. We have proper gauges but he was using a live round (yea I gave him crap about it). The bullet went through the forward bell at a 30 degree angle. The surprising thing is none of the glass was damaged and the scope still worked.
