Info on Aperture / Diopter

I was wondering if anyone could direct me to
info on the type of sights that is popular in
across the course shooting. David Tubb talks about
them on one of his DVDs and I do not own it.

Thank you Jacques for the helpful link.
I actually used the wrong term. What I meant
was 'Micrometer sights'. They are adjustable
by turning knobs, but they are still irons and not
full out scopes.
