Info. On 22 WIN MAG SEMI WHO MAKES THE VERY BEST.

Now a little pricey, but I used to own a H&K 300. It functioned flawlessly and was an honest one moa rifle at 100 yards. The Feb. 2017 Shooting Times magazine had an article on the Magnum Research Inc. model MLR22WMH. They tested nine 22WMR loads and average 5 shot 100 yd. groups ranged from .44" to 1.10" with 6 out of the 9 loads averaging less than 1 moa. The MSRP is $794.

I have a BRNO ZKM 611 which is unusual and old school milled steel and walnut. It likes 40 grain loads and is a take down. Had a friend with the H&K and it is wonderful too.

Second on an HK 300 IF you can find one in good condition at a price that fits your budget. Wish I had mine back!

100% reliable and would clean the 100 yd NRA small bore target with 6-10 X's with CCI ammo from a rest with a 12 power scope.

I use them for predator calling at night. I have a Volquartsen, two 10-22 magnums and a Savage A-22. The Volquartsen has the barrel screwed onto the receiver, but it is really no more accurate than the 10-22 magnums with a little trigger work and a good barrel. The A-22 is not terrible, but in typical cheap Savage fashion if you look at it wrong the cheesy magazine falls out on its own.
Ruger has not made the 10-22 magnum since sometime around 2004. it was cataloged in 2005 but they had quit making it by then. The last of the 10-22 magnums actually had a fluted chamber in an effort to get them to extract better. Personally, I have never had any trouble with the ones I have. I called Ruger in 2005 to see what "new model" they were going to release to replace the 10-22 mag and the lady laughed at me. She said, "Ruger will NEVER make a magnum rimfire semi-auto again, given the trouble we've had with the 10-22 magnum!!!" She went on to explain that the folks at Ruger believed it was the ammo that caused most of the problems. Again, I have never had any issues with any of mine, including the Savage as far as feeding and extracting is concerned. I always use either CCI or Winchester ammo and I have even tried a 17HMR barrel on one of them with zero issues. Maybe I am lucky, but that is definitely not the norm!! 10-22 magnums are a little on the pricey side these days, that is when you can find one.

Don't know about you guys but the two .22 wmrf guns I had were terrible in the accuracy Dept. Both were 1" guns at 50 yards. Matter of fact I think more like 1.5 +. I have a couple .22 rf guns that are .25 at 50 yards and none over .5 at 50. Is it the .22 mag in general or just my luck ? Went to the .17 hmr since and haven't looked back.

Was wondering if you had any pictures of your BRNO ZKM 611. Does it have a Steel receiver and full wood stock?

If so please send your pictures to davebrantnerwv@earthlink.net. I would very much like to see one of these. I have heard DRNO MADE THE ,22 WMR ,IN THE MODEL 511 ,but cannot find anything on one ,of these . Thanks , Dave Brantner

Sorry, I didn't see your picture request. It is one classy rifle. The bolt is retarded by a weight in the forearm. Mine only seems to like 40 gr. Winchester soft points. I understand the ATF won't allow them to be imported any more. If you really want a laugh, price a magazine for one! I never fired them but two people I know have the H&K and they are awesome. So much so that one of them bought a second one for a backup.
