To check bedding for stress. Torque action screws, zero indicator, slightly loosen one screw see if indicator moves, re-torque and then loosen the other. When I check I will usually see less than .0015 movement. In my case I have the barrel and stock vertical to negate gravity affecting the reading (Butt of stock clamped in a padded vise).Just curious - when are you using this and what are you checking for?
Zero movement is the goal, I am not there yet although have been very close. These are not glue ins.I get zero movement. Dont even need to check. If i was to get any movement id reglue it
