Indexing head for Milling

Is it possible to get an indexing head /dividing head thats got a hole through the headstock similar to a lathe, that allows you to do barfeed work. Most of the ones I see wont allow you to do that as they dont have a hole going right through the headstock. Some pics would be great.

All of the ones that i have used are capable of what you are looking for. J&l metal working new catalog page 1209A has two with pass through.... i bought a import version a few years ago for less than half of what these run and i love mine.

You can get combination horizontal/vertical rotary tables. They have about 2" of room for stock to pass through. I have an 8" independent 4 jaw chuck that mounts on the rotary table. I have a tilt table that I can fit the rotary table or universal indexed to to get compound co-sine angles with. This gives me a 4th and 5th axis on a manual machine.

My universal indexer has a dead center, a face plate, and a threaded faceplate. I bought a 6" independent 4 jaw chuck that would screw right into the threaded face plate. It will allow about 4" of stock to be inserted into the chuck.

Look for a "Super Spacer". They are an indexing head that comes with plates that facilitate 2, 3, 4, 6, 8 and 12 equal indexing points. I have a 10" that came with a 4 jaw and a faceplate. They are not a dividing head but have a protractor that allows you to choose any angle. The head is rotated by a handle/gear train when the plates are not in use.
The unit can be mounted on a mill table in either vertical or horizontal position. Ar at any angle if you have a tilting table attachment.
Oh, they do have a through hole similar to a lathe headstock.

These will accept 5C collets, which means that you can use bar stock up to 1 1/8 inches in diameter. Imports are available at half the price, but they may not be as well-made.
