I know when i was looking, my bedget (or lack thereof) was a major factor.
Plus i knew i didn't need all the bells & whistles.
After a TON of research, i bought an SA Sports, Dragon Eyez 1500 on Amazon special for $250.

Rubber coated, 7X viewfinder.
Advertized as "reflective surface to 1,500 yards, non reflective to 600 yards".
I have ranged many deer, elk at distances of 800-900 yards. (I didn't realize they were reflective )
I have once ranged a deer at 1,190 yards.
My truck to 1,400 yards.
The bad.
No corrected distance for angled (uphill/downhill). Not a deal breaker for me as i have that covered with my ballistics calculator.
No lanyard.

Been abused for 3 years now & still going strong.
