Range finder Question about the G7

I have a G7 range finder. Yesterday we were out shooting at 600 and 1000 yards. When I set the G7 to the 600 yard number I dialed to on the scope it off by 3 minutes when we moved to 1025.

Real numbers: I'm shooting a 338 lapua with 300 grain bergers hunter elite. At 600 yards I dial to 12.75 (1/4 minute clicks). When we moved to 1025 yards the range finder says I should dial to 29. To hit the target near the center I needed to dial to 26.

Any suggestions on how to get these to distances to match up better in the range finder?

Thanks,

Jeff

go over your inputs to the rangefinder to be sure you didn't goof on something . be sure the rifle is sighted dead on at your zero .be sure this zero distance is what you put in the rangefinder . are you sure of the velocity figure you put in the rangefinder .

FWIW ;
I'm using the same combo as you . 600yds I dial 10.1 elevation . 1025yds I dial 22.9 elevation . my velocity is 2930 FPS .

Use the G7 input for BC.

AS good as the G7 rangefinder is, a guy still needs to "tinker" a bit to make it work right. Shoot and verify what you are getting.

Most likely being off by that much id guess you have something g entered wrong.

Check your zero, doesnt seem like you should need 13 moa to get to 600
My zero is pretty good, maybe a half inch low at 100. I'm not pushing these real fast. I needed to slow the round down to get it to shoot good. Its a Savage hs precision 338 Lapua. A new barrel will be going on after this hunting trip next week. :)
