I'm starting to get into reloading for my hunting rifles. In order to come with the most accurate load I'm going to need some new shooting equipment in terms of a shooting rest. My budget is around 200 bucks. I've already figured out the caldwell benchrest model rest is fine for what I'm looking to do. I'm very lost when it come to choosing leather bags. I'm impressed with the proteckor bags but I went on midways websight and there are alot of diiferent models? Does anyone know what bags will fit the caldwell rest? Thanks. Jeff Cam.

I'm still using my original Caldwell BR front rest with the caldwell rear bag.
Almost any quality rear bag will fit the caldwell BR better than the caldwell rear bag. It still works though.
Much depends on the level of bench and elevation of target.

The caldwell BR is tall in comparison to their rear bag. Its hard to shoot level without something extra under the bag. A taller rear bag would fit better.

I have a 1.5" x 6"x6" steel plate under my bag at my home range.

Your looking for loads for hunting rifles. I've shot some zeros off my setup. You should be fine with just about anything you choose. Get your crosshairs on the target and start shooting.

If you decide you want to shoot Bench Rest you'll then need to upgrade.
