Caldwell rifle rest??

I am looking for an in formal but competent front rest for shooting my rifles at the bench. I may one day do some comps but mostly just for fun at the home range. The Caldwell BR rest seems to get decent reviews on midways site but i dont believe everything i read. Is this rest ok for 160 bucks or should i look at something else? Lee

I have two of them and the only thing I dislike about them is the fact that the windage adjustment swivels the top instead of sliding it side to side.

Caldwell is a division of Midway, USA; they would not, of course, print anything criticaL. i DON'T HAVE A cALDWELL, AND would not buy one, have heard various negatives about it. Spend a little more and get a Hart or Bald Eagle.
