IMR 8208

I have IMR 8208 and LT-32, I want to use it for 22BR. I can not find any grain data for any bullet. Can anyone help?

I'ma like a broken record with BLC. It's been great in my 22BR up to 55 gr. bullets.

But-- I have had great luck with IMR 4895 -- just doesn't go through the measure as well.

My barrel is a 1 in 14, so I don't go heavy with the bullets. jd

62-69 gr. What other powders are similar to IMR 8208

As others have said, 4985 and N135 are similar. 8208 is a bit faster. I have found that AR Comp, Tac and AA2460 to be very close in data as well.

When I switched from AA2460 to 8208 in my 7TCU so that I could get a bit more temperature stability with my IHMSA loads, I ended up with a charge of 0.2 grains difference between the two.

Benchmark and the 50s & 55s work the best in my 1-12 22BR.

The Sierra online manual app lists IMR8208XBR for bullet weights up to their 63 gr SMP. No loads for that powder 65 gr and up.

No knock on anyone but the print manuals are outdated. The app, IMHO, is the best way to go with Sierra bullets.
