IMR 8208 XBR in .22 BR

Anyone know where I can get data for a .22 BR using IMR 8208 XBR powder-or any load suggestions. Will be shooting 50-52 grain bullets in a 1-14 twist barrel.

Give the Sierra hotline a call at 1-800-223-8799. They will help with documented loads whether you use their bullets or not.

Hodgdon's reloading data page suggests 29.5-31.5 grains (max) of Benchmark behind a 50 gr. Speer soft point in 22BR Remington. 24" 1:14 barrel, REM 7-1/2 primers, 1.945" COL.

I'd been using IMR 8208XBR for Palma loads for about five years until I got turned on to Benchmark early last year.

Using 0.5 grain less of it than with 8208XBR I'm getting a little more velocity as well as equal to slightly lower SD.

From that experience I don't think starting load development at 29.5 grains would be ill-advised were I asking such a question here.
