We have been receiving a ton of calls on the IMR 8208. I thought I would take this time to clear up some information. Based on current interest we are accepting pre orders for this powder.
I just got off the phone with Hodgdon. At this time they do not anticipate any distributors will have this product any earlier than December. The most likely scenario is distributors will receive the powder sometime in January or February.
The pricing on this powder will be the same as the other IMR rifle powders. Hodgdon/IMR does anticipate a price increase in 2010 and the 8208 will ship at the new prices. However, I do not anticipate a large price increase. Typically you see a 2-5% increase in prices annually from Hodgdon/IMR.
