IMR 8208 XBR in a 204 Ruger

IMR 8208 XBR in a 204 Ruger ,is this a good powder pushing 32 gr bullets ?

XBR works good for my R700 204 and the Sierra 32 Bk's.
Nice Tiny Groups.

I was hung up with CFE223, then I tried some 10X. 10x groups a little smaller, CFE has the speed.

10X and CFE 223 both proved a little temp sensitive in my experience with them. Benchmark and 8208 were both better in my particular rifle

I run 25 gr. Benchmark with 40's.
25 8208 would be a good place to start.

8208 works great in the 204s I shoot. Fast-4050fps and accurate with 32 gr bullets.

8208 XBR is my favorite all around powder. If 8208 doesn't work in it, it's not something I want to shoot.

I'm also a big user of 8208. It's one of the few powders that I buy in 8 pound jugs. I'm glad to hear that it' working in 204Rs.

Can't comment on 32gr bullets but 8208 works great with the 39gr Sierra BK. I'm running a 27.3gr load with Nosler brass and CCI BR-4 primers and it is super accurate. This is a max book load so usual caveats. Start lower and work up.

The 8208XBR will shoot just fine in the .204, though you might find that faster powders will work better with the 32. Accurate LT32 seems to have been made for that bullet. Works best in 4 tubes tried, though H4198 is right in there. H322 is another. If you are unhappy with the 8208 or just want to see if there is something better - these are worth trying.

I use 8208 in my 204 with 39 Sierra's.. For 32's I am currently using R10X. But I just started using 32's and plan on looking at 8208 as I have a ton of it.

I like the striking gold colored bottle (the most beautiful of all IMR cans) and the stuff inside. Makes my 11 twist .204 R sing with 40 Vmax's. I wish I had a "ton of it". I also use the funny Fiocchi "green" SR ZETAPi primers with Nosler brass.

This powder also produced 1" groups @ 200 yrds with 35 Berger and 39 Sierra. Meters very nice too.
