IMR 7977 is a good choice for the 7 REM MAG. I compared to H4831 which I had ordinarily used. I was breaking in a new barrel. 7977 was more accurate and seemed as or more powerful. Did not get a chance to chronograph. It is somewhat dirtier than h 4831. The decoppering agent used is probably Tin Oxide. When fired, there is a smut left over instead of copper on the lands. It is easy to clean than than copper. This technology is old dating from the 20's or 30'sanyone try 7977 in the 7 mag?
