Dad had a stroke this summer so haven't got to work up my 4451 loads in the 6x47 yet. Was wondering if anyone had any experiences that made the say hey this is worth running.

I have 8 lbs. but I also have plenty of h4350 and h4831sc that I have great luck with. Just trying to see if I can shrink me es and sd down anymore.

I also have my daughters that we McGowen that we cut back to use the same chamber reamer as my brux. I don't have the luck with 4831sc in that one and was wondering what 4451 might do there.

Heard a lot of guys say they were going to try but hadn't heard much back.

Please include barrel length and cartridge oal with velocities and spreads if you can.

Thanks amigos.

I just asked the other day about 4451 in 6xc but nobody has responded that they have used it. So hopefully someone has some input so I too kinda have a starting point.

I tried it in my 6XC, I started at 37gr behind a 105 hybrid.

I didn't see anything that made me drop H4350. But it performed similarly velocity wise. I didn't test a whole bunch.

Good afternoon,
I just finished a 6x47 L with a krieger 27 in, 7.5 twist. I've loaded ramshot hunter, rl17 and IMR 4451. They all shoot ok, and faster than I thought it would at a best avg. of 3158 ish with 105 Berger hybrids. The best load is with 4451, which is also a surprise. 38.5 grns with br4 primers has given the best group of .220 at a hundred yards with many .250, without any brass treatment. Not bad for a tactical play gun. Hope this helps. Have a great day, Alan

I have everything ready to go except a barrel. There was a thread on it a few months ago and the guys using it were pretty happy with it. Supposed to be more temperature stable than the 4350.
