IMR 4350 Vs H 4350

I use H4350 in my 6.5x284 and 6.6x47L, but I can't find anymore. How does IMR 4350 compare with H 4350 and are the loads similar?

H-4350 burns just a tad faster than IMR-4350.
Drop your charge weights a full grain from what you were using, and go from there if you change to IMR-4350.
A hot IMR-4350 load that works OK in your rifle could possibly ruin it with the same charge of H-4350.....
Even a different lot number of H-4350 could get you into trouble if you start with the same charge you were using....
Always start low and work up to it again.

I have not had any trouble finding H-4350 in the Southeast. Have you guys been experiencing problems with the product being on back order in your part of the country?

I use a lot of H-4350, should I stock up!!

My 4th edition of Hornadys handbook shows H-4350 as being slightly faster than IMR-4350.
I guess it pays to check more than one source......

My IMR4350 is slower than H4350..

What the heck does 4350 mean anyway?
You know, of all the things standardized in this world, shouldn't powder we ignite in our pipes be one of them?

I did a little testing this past week with Accurate Arms 4350 and IMR 4350. I got hold of 10 pounds of AA 4350 cheap and wanted to see if it would shoot the same in my 25-06 as IMR 4350. The load data is very close. I have been shooting 49 grs. of IMR 4350 with a 117 gr Sierra Prohunter for years for deer hunting. So I loaded up some rounds with 49 grs of AA-4350 and went to the range. I shot a couple rounds of the IMR 4350 and then a couple rounds of the AA 4350 at 100 yards and they all went into virtually the same hole. Then I moved out to a target at 300 yards to see what would happen. I shot two rounds with the AA 4350 then looked through the spotting scope. Both rounds looked like a,8)Then I fired one of the IMR 4350 rounds and it made the group look like a pregnant eight. Three shots in a 3/8 inch group then I fired one more IMR 4350 round just as a gust of wind came up and the round moved out of the group with the wind. I had a 4 shot group 1 1/8 inch at 300 yards with all shots in the same elevation, no stringing with one round being blown out by the wind. When I get time to go to the range again I will take my Chronograph and see how close the velocity of these loads are. From the 300 yard results I bet they are almost the same.
