Did you see any noticeable advantages by changing to the 4166 over the other powders. In accuracy and velocities and sdWhat I did was look on hogdon website for .308 Varget loads with the bullets I wanted to shoot. The 4166 is a little faster than the Varget for me.
I think that 4064 or 4895 starting loads would be a safe place to start

I'm using it in .308 with 155gr. bullets. It shoots just as well as Varget but the accuracy band was very narrow for me. A half grain either way and it didn't shoot well. I'd like to know if this is typical.
That pretty much sums up my experience with it. I was trying 1, then 1/2 grain differences and just when I thought I was on to something, it either wouldn't get tight, or went loose really quick. I tried it out for several of my bullet types (308 as well) and I just couldn't get it to run right. It was "OK" for me, but nothing to make go out and get another jug. Hey, some guys don't shoot Varget for the same reasons....I'm using it in .308 with 155gr. bullets. It shoots just as well as Varget but the accuracy band was very narrow for me.
