Imr 4064 in 6br 87 gr bullet

Hi Everyone
I am needing some help want to try imr4064 in my 6br
with 87gr vmax. The 3 manuals I have do not list that powder. Don't have any varget so wanted to give this a try. Just need a starting point. The rifle is a savage with a 8 twist barrel.
Thanks for the help

what is the barrel length, I have found that 4064 is pretty similar to Varget as far as charge weight goes.
but then again I have been known to be wrong at least in my girls eyes

memo

I am finding similar charge weights of IMR 4064 to Varget. Actually getting better velocities and excellent accuracy with 4064 and have not found temp changes to cause any issues so far.

I have had a similar experience to MTM with 4064 vs. Varget. 4064 provided identical accuracy and was much more available over the past 2 years than Varget.

While 4064 is not an "Extreme" temperature insensitive powder, I have not found it to be nearly as temperature sensitive as double base ball powders, and have not had to develop any different "seasonal" loads.
