Imr 4064 in 6 Dasher?

Looking for any info people have on running IMR 4064 in a 6 dasher. Even better if it’s with a 112gr barns match burners or similar bullet. I’ve seen hodgdons data for this powder with 107s, I just would like to hear other peoples experiences. Thanks!

Not sure, but wouldn't 4064 be a little too slow burning for a small case like that?

It’s in between varget and 4350 which are two of the most popular powders for the dasher.

I say give it a try. Use data for the 107 and work up. IMR4064 is consistently one of the most accurate powders I use. I have a 6BR that loves the stuff with the 105s.

I would give it a shot. U never know whether the gun will like it or not until you do.

IMR 4064 is one of my favorite powders. I’ve meant to try it in 6 BRA, just haven’t gotten around to it.

I use it in a straight 6 BR Norma. I updated the load data post at the top of the forum with this:

SMK 107 loaded to 2.440" COAL
Norma case
Fed 205M
IMR-4064 @ 30.0 gr.

holds the X-ring of the International Rifle target @ 300M.

I ran imr 4064 in my 6mm dasher with 107 SMK
32.8 grs of 4064 = 3030 fps 7.8 S/D 2.362" COAL.
28" barrel. The few groups were good but used the powder for some 308, and ran out. I have shot many different 6mm bullets...the barns 112 gr 6mm hasn't been an accurate bullet compared to other bullets, I haven't tried it with RL 15 which my dasher likes with 108 Bergers, 107 SMK, 108 eldm, 110 SMK. The most accurate 6 dasher load with 112 gr was 32 gr Varget, but only tried a few powders, and never tried imr 4064.

The barns 112 gr was fairly accurate in the 6mm ARC.

You just never know what will work. I tried H 4895 in my 6 PPC and it works great!
