imperial dry lube?

If you are only moving the brass a few thou then the dry lube works fine, if moving more than a few thou then would recommend the imperial die wax.

I plan on using wax for necking up. But i was wondering about the dry lube to just uniform the inside of the necks after sizing with a bushing die.

I've used it that way without issue, but I prefer using a lanolin or traditional case lube. I didn't encounter any problems.

Imperial dry lube is powdered graphite which is nothing more than finely ground carbon.

And carbon is what many shooters in this forum hate to remove from inside their case necks when cleaning cases.

Dipping your case necks in the dry lube below will reapply carbon to the inside of the neck and work great with any type expander. mandrel.

Some of you might have lubed your kids Pinewood Derby wheels with powdered graphite. If you don't remember doing this then that is why your kids car finished in last place. :)

I've been using the Imperial Dry for 7-8 years. Use it for expanding new brass for turning necks, that's usually opening necks up 3-4 thousands, and I've had zero problems. I also use it to set neck tension with a mandrel and prior to seating. All my applications are with a Q-tip, as I've found it doesn't make a mess, like twirling the neck in the beads and wiping the excess off the outside of neck and shoulder.
