I use my hammered 87 s-10 project. Lays the frame on the pavement, and get's about 1.5" of ground clearance under the frame when I fill the bags up. 
I've seriously used this to go out groundhog hunting. You'd be surprised the terrain this hog will go through, but you'd be surprised what it can't go through too
You have to worry more about starting a fire than getting stuck... the exhaust sits about 1" off the ground when laid down on the frame, so any amount of grass or brush under there is going to touch the exhaust. I've left rectangle burn marks in friend's yards because of that
oh, and that's not a backyard camo paint job... it's just that terrible looking, lol!
