If you're not a US citizen, be careful with your pics.

I remember talking with someone from the Channel Islands when I was at the International LR matches in New Zealand in 2020. We were discussing the wind at Trentham and he said it was nothing compared to the CI's. He said at 1,000 yards he would put on 23 minutes and it wouldn't vary more than one or two minutes either side of that!

I returned from Europe after a long Vacation.
I would get on WiFi when possible, I don't have a Sim Card for out of the US.
I was not able to see, open or go to anything Gun related on my Phone.
I did receive a e-mail wanting to known why I have not logged in for a while ? not able to reply.

Freedom we still have a lot !!

The Channel Islands are British 'crown dependencies', an odd status which means they aren't officially part of the UK and are to a large extent self-governing
The Channel Islands are loyal ONLY to the crown and not at all to the British parliament.
‘After King John lost the Battle of Rouen, Jersey chose to align with England rather than France, which solidified its status as a Crown Dependency. This decision allowed Jersey to maintain its own laws and governance, leading to the establishment of the Royal Court and the States of Jersey, which represent the island's legislative body.’

Your not German are you?
Of course. Was that not obvious from my criticism of Neville Chamberlain's appeasement of the Nazis?

I'm glad we sorted out where your anti British attitude comes from.
No not obvious that you are German from your criticism of Chamberlain's apappeasement. However like you there were many of your country men at the time who also criticised Chamberlain's appeasement, General Ludwig Beck , General Hans Oster etcetera who were even high ranking members of the German army.

Every time I see this post I get angry. Our forefathers thru the Brits out . The Brits and others outside the US have chosen their paths over the years, so they live with them. If your here and not a US citizen, go home or embrace our country and gain citizenship. Any bleeding hearts for some other country, move there and be a citizen there. We have more than enough problems of our own to solve. If you think this is too harsh, I don't care. Way to many US soldiers have bled and died for our way of life because of bleeding heart, money grubbing politicians. My concerns are with us, not the world. . The world never rushes to us except to hold it's hands out to Uncle Sugar.

One asinine thing the Brits gave many parts of the world, especially their 'colonies' is driving on the left (wrong) side of the road. That fact alone precludes me from EVER going there and driving anywhere in a rental, as I'd kill someone or myself the very first day.

Last night my wife and I had this convo, and researched as to just why this silly practice is still in effect today. It all stems from ancient Roman times when the soldiers of the legions marched on the left side of the road/trail to keep their right arms and hands free to engage an enemy, as the majority of humans then and now are right-handed. In later times it was to facilitate easy reach of your sword while on the road if an enemy was encountered.

Castles in England when built had the tower staircases go up clockwise so the defenders could engage the enemy coming up the stairs and have them at a disadvantage with the wall inhibiting their sword fighting ability, whilst giving the defender the advantage of being able to thrust down effectively with no wall to inhibit the sword action. All this of course favors the right-handed again. Interesting to say the least.

So now many countries around the world are saddled with a 2,000 year old tradition of driving on the 'wrong' side of the road. Way to go England!

IIRC, they have the same thing in their Nav Rules for shipping, so basically you have:
1. Nav Rules for UK and colonies, and
2. Nav Rules for the rest of the world.
And darn near everything is a$$backerds opposite. So pay close attention to your Lines of Demarcation.
At least they didn't make it so that downbound vessels on rivers have to give way to upbound vessels ... they can contradict and gainsay and ignore and deny a lot of things, but the laws of physics aren't among them!
