Thats why i recommend a 243. Very non complicated. And you can get lapua brass or cheap stuff and load n fire it. Very forgiving on loads. Some folks gotta be a lil cooler tho.
mr.big said:I really like the 6.5x47 L brass and already tooled for that case,,I have a 6.5x47 barrel at my smith now having it set back and rechambered for the Rem action I will be using for this project,,if I dont have any issues with the small primers I may go 6x47 since he already has that reamer also and I could use brass I have and probably get by with only a smaller bushing for size die and a seater,,
I really like the 6.5x47 for known ranges but it seems the 6mm is a little more forgiving on range estimation,,
mr.big said:I was gonna shoot the 6.5x47 and see how primers looked first,,you say I should just send it in and have it bushed before even trying it, I have about 3500 rounds combined of 6.5x47 and 6BRDX on the Stiller action with no mod to bolt and have had no problems with primers,,
is the bolt in the Stiller Tac30 ready to go out of the box,,if so I will send Rem 700 bolt in before shooting,,
