If you use a Harrell's Compact Reloading Press

I'm considering a Harrell's Compact Press an wondering if its solid enough to do my 6PPC resizing? Does the press flex much causing inconsistent base to shoulder dimension?

The press is more than solid enough. As alluded to above it sort of presumes using a Pope style decapper or equivalent, all the more because aluminum doesn't wear like iron. Because it's handy and short stroke mine gets a great deal of my use, more than my CoAx with its long sweep handle, my T7 mostly left full of Redding Instant Indicators, my Hollywood universal turret is reserved for big die sets. If limited to one I suppose I'd go with the T7 but the Harrell's really is the most used of half a dozen.

Ive used one for years you want be dicappointed great press

I have a pair that I use for a lot of different things, pistol, small varmint rds, used to use them for ppc and br till I started using Matt's hood style press for all the match stuff..... John

I have used one for years in my range box. Since I no longer load at the range it is attached to my loading bench and has done one thing the last 15 years, size my ppc brass. That's the only die that has been in it.
Same story for me Jeff except 6brx was what I use mine for.

I love mine for 6br and call it the thinking man's press because all I do is think about how to come up with a method to catch ALL the spent primers. There has to be a way!

I have used one for over a year and it works great. No flex that I have noticed. Great workmanship. I have used it for .223 and .308. You won't be disappointed.

I prefer an "O" press like the ones you see here. Harrells makes a press very much like a Hood press.

here is a pic of @jackieschmidt set up.

Works great. Use it whether loading at the house, in a hotel or on the range. Have sized 10s of thousands of BR, dasher and BRAI cases without a single problem. I knock the primers out before sizing so catching them isn't an issue for me.

knock the primers out with what? I have tried all hand tools and havent found one I like. best thing so far is my buchanan press and a decap die

I use a Wilson Dasher neck die to knock primers out (I learned from @Jet). Use the one die to knock primers out for 6BR, 6BRA, Dasher, 30BR, and 6.5x47.

Since I use mine for 222, 6ppc, 6BR, 6x47L, I have to say, in my loading room or at the range, even the hotel, it's a great option.

I have used my bench mounted O press, and K&M arbor press without seeing any better results.

222 I use a standard wilson body die using a nk bushing in the compact Harrels, and this decaps like a standard sizing die. The difference is i set a trash can under the die, I only bump .002" and this press consistently holds within .0005 of that.

The others I use the convenience of Readding body dies to hold that same .002" to .0025" bump of the body, then decap on the same press with Wilson nk dies.

All calibers I use a Wilson seater on the same press, and all load ammo spot on!

The difference in the Harrels over the other options, is less space, I only need one press regardless what type of die I use. But it finishes my ammo as precisely as larger presses that require other presses for different types of dies.

338 Lapua, and other Xtra large cases, I don't know about, but for my Rifles, the compact harrels is all I use, at home or at the range.
