If it works and it's stupid, it's not stupid.

Tide goes in, tide goes out, you can't explain that.

I'm sure it flashes off quickly. It only thinned out the mix for a few minutes. Long enough to butter the stock and action
Thats a nice tip about the acetone, I always wanted to thin the Epoxy but didn't want to take a chance on putting something in there that would ruin my job. I always thought epoxy was thinned with MEK. I bought a very large set of "Pro Bed 2000" Just because I wanted to try it. About 6 months went by before I had used up my Marine Tex and a couple other types I use. Anyway when I went to use the Pro Bed 2000 it had become very stiff, I emailed the owner who sells it wanting to know what I could thin it it with, I was ignored. I will never buy that stuff again.

The info I saw was specific to Devcon 10110 and acetone. Use caution with any other epoxy/mix.

It can 'thicken' in the containers due to the thinner components settling to the bottom....particularly if it's sat for a while. Unless I've used it within a week, I put both containers in a cake pan of warm water and stir to get it back to where it needs to be for using it.

Hope this helps. -Al

Used Pro Bed 2000 today for the first time (well, I applied yesterday) - It's my new favorite. I wish it were just a little bit thinner but it's nice stuff.
