LOL some of you guys still dont understand that i would be putting F Tac shooters on a different relay all together. GO do pit duty! Youll feel no muzzle blasts from 300 yards away.
I have read some truly inane comments in these 15 pages, but this one is the winner.Shooting guns is loud, deal with it.

Lol! Thank you! You’d think it was like I was trying to implement howitzers to the firing line?2nd place.

Since when is objective truth inane? Complaining about noise and percussion in shooting sports is like moving to Seattle and complaining about the rain.I have read some truly inane comments in these 15 pages, but this one is the winner.

As a former match director, I have experienced what you are talking about in your original post. The guys with brakes shot on the far end of the last relay for informal matches. I went back and read your original post to see what you said 15 pages ago. Some of what you said in the first paragraph about new(er) shooters being "discouraged" when told they have to take their brake off and being intimidated by front rests is humorous at best. They are stepping into our arena wanting to play, not the other way around. Another poster has used the word "Fudd" to discribe us....LOL some of you guys still dont understand that i would be putting F Tac shooters on a different relay all together. GO do pit duty! I agree with you. Actually I’ll say that I think part of the problem is the new man bun shooters thinking they’re gonna stroll upto the firing line and win their first match. That’s where the intimidation factor comes into play. Some young guys can’t fathom the thought of “Fuds” beating them. Everyone knows a fud who’s retired and has money has both the time and means to get a rifle shooting lights out.As a former match director, I have experienced what you are talking about in your original post. Part of your job will be to convince those 6.5 manbun shooters to buy/build a rifle in an accurate caliber...
Cheers
Then pick your least favorite 3 sling shooters to score those braked rifles. As a match director, let me get this straight.
Some are saying, let's shoot the brakes on a separate relay. So, I normally fire three relays in our matches. Lets say I have thirty shooters. Three of which are brakes. I fire another fourth relay of three shooters with brakes. All the while the other shooters stand back for the entitled shooters to have their day.
OK, I get it now.
Jeremy, now that's funnyThen pick your least favorite 3 sling shooters to score those braked rifles.![]()
Don't forget to add another 1.5 to 2.0 hours to the day when shooting a typical 3 match day with the 4th relay. When we get a new shooter with a brake, we like to welcome them and try to put them a few targets away at the end of the line. We have had some long time shooters not come back though when they get blasted with dirt into their optics, actions, faces and eyes. So we lose some shooters for one new one that usually only comes out a few times with their RPR in 6.5 need more. Then pick your least favorite 3 sling shooters to score those braked rifles.![]()
Any approved or registered match that I ran, they had to remove the brake or they didn't shoot. For informal league matches there was exceptions made.As a match director, let me get this straight.
