Trying to help get the word out about some recent changes to the IBS website to allow members to register their membership online which then allows them to pay for membership online and the real exciting change will be online voting coming out next month.

The first step to utilize the new online payments and voting will be to REGISTER yourself on the IBS website, it’s very simple and once verified via email you will be able to use the new member tools for payment and voting.

Please take a few minutes to register, even if your membership dues are current you should still register as you will be able to pay membership dues later whenever you’re due. Like if you just paid in September, please still register and you will be able to pay again in September.

The online voting will be available after you receive a postcard with the online links to vote on each proposed rule change from the annual membership meeting. But in order for the link to work you must first be registered at the IBS website, so please try to find the time to do this before you receive the postcard.

Also, please post any questions you may have and we’ll try to get them answered as quick as possible, this will allow us to form some FAQ’s for registering online and reach the maximum number of people as quickly as possible.

Also kudo's to the IBS E-Board, committee members and match directors after the winter meeting yesterday to go backwards in time to offer anyone who wants a lifetime membership to get one for a fee of $500.00.

writing a check and a stamp does not cost the several dollars charged for cc fee
The cost of paying membership dues is $2.00 if you pay online. If I was worried over that $2 I wouldn't be shooting. That is the service fee for the third party service that handles the transaction. But it is your money and your opinion.
Once I got registered it was no problem to pay dues online. Actually, for me at least, easier than mailing a check.

I sent my membership application in the old-fashioned way took a little bit to get back but I got my IBS card this past week I got mine just in case I want to shoot the thousand-yard Nationals it's the only IBS Range close to me.

I did the same thing, Old fashioned usps mail. Bur many kudos and thanks have to go to Ms. Kay Aikey for the astonishingly short turn around time in getting my new membership card back to me!! The new online options step is another building block added to the foundation of IBS. All the people involved in getting this done, certainly have my thanks and gratitude for their time and effort in making our IBS even better. Keep up the good work guys.

How far in advance of a match should a fella be getting his membership sent off also is it better to use the on line or snail mail

Jim, you can still join at the match..... before the first record shot.

Thanks Clay
I figured on getting this in early, I’ve got tons of things to accomplish this spring with retirement looming and moving to MT.
Details never seem to end.
