Registration for the 2018 IBS 600 Yard National Championship is now open. Jane has posted the link for the registration and waiver forms on the IBS website under the NEWS tab. They are there for you to download, print and mail. This Information Letter (below) is probably there also, but I wanted it here too.......as a "Public Announcement."
Please post any questions or comments you may have here. You may also feel free to contact me by phone or email, which are listed at the bottom of the letter. Hoping to see you all there.

2018 IBS 600 YARD NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS
BENCH REST RIFLE CLUB OF ST. LOUIS
WRIGHT CITY, MISSOURI
OCTOBER 6 & 7, 2018
The deadline for pre-registration is September 6, 2018, per IBS Long Range Rulebook. Please mail the completed Registration and Waiver Forms at least 5 days before the deadline to make sure they arrive in time. There is a mandated late fee of $10 if received after the deadline.
Please fill all forms out properly and completely. Remember to note your membership status and if you are a Junior, Female or Rookie shooter. Also select the size of your free Tee Shirt and the number and sizes of any additional Tee Shirts you are ordering at $14 each. You do not have to make payment by September 6, 2018 but we must receive your registration and waiver forms by then. Your money will be refunded if you are unable to attend.
You must present your current IBS or Williamsport membership card when you sign in at the match. IBS membership may be purchased when you sign in.
The range will be open for practice and sign in beginning at noon Wednesday October 3, 2018 and will continue through Friday October 5, 2018. Practice and sign in hours will be from noon until dusk on Wednesday. Practice and sign in on Thursday and Friday will be from 9:00 am until dusk. There will be no sight in period Saturday or Sunday.
The Championship will begin at 8:00 am on Saturday and Sunday. The attendance prizes drawing will be after the Light Gun Match concludes on Saturday. The Light Gun, Heavy Gun and Two Gun awards will be after the conclusion of the Heavy Gun Match on Sunday.
The Competition, Course of Fire, Trophies, Points, Rules, Rifles and Equipment will conform to the Current IBS Rule Book in effect on October 6, 2018.
Light Guns will be weighed prior to the beginning of the Light Gun match Saturday.
BRRC’s 600 Yard Firing Line consists of benches 1 through 20. We anticipate 80 to 90 shooters, meaning there will be 4 or 5 relays. Bench rotation will be utilized on both days of competition. All competitors will rotate 5 benches to the right after every pair of targets.
Competitors will begin firing on day 2, from the same bench they finished up on day 1. All relays will shift by 2 on the second day of competition. Meaning that, as example, if you are on relay 1 the first day, you will fire on relay 3 of the second day. All shooters will keep their initial Competitor Number throughout the Tournament. The only thing that changes is your bench number and order of relay as the Tournament proceeds.
Lunch will be provided Saturday and Sunday. Soda is available from the vending machine at 50 cents a can.
BRRC Safety Rules require that muzzles, including muzzle brakes must extend beyond the muzzle end of the bench. Eye and hearing protection are also required while firing. Rest feet (Super Feet) are required between the front rest and bench top.
Motels are available in the Wright City and Warrenton areas. Most shooters choose to stay at the Super 8 in Warrenton, MO.
