Wayne, I'm late coming back to the party, but between this and searching the archives here and asking questions about tweeking the program you will get a handle on it easily. Like Ned said , it is worth every penny. Ned is one that has a lot of skinny on Quickload and post good information.

Wow 70 cartridges-- you shoot those all yourself? Sure must keep you busy. I have quickload- need to get more involved with it.

I am lucky to handload and shoot 5 different cartridges a year.
6.5-06, 280AI, and 7mmRM stand a good chance in 2020.
32 Colt, 41 Colt, and 455 Eley have lower chances.

After using QL for 5 years I prefer GRT.

I've been playing with this for a little bit once I read your post. It looks promising. However at the moment the propellant database is painfully sparse. No RL26, H4831, IMR 4831. Pretty common names in my opinion to not be included.

It will help you learn a ton about loading and will savd you money!

Takes a little to learn but that 123 button on type will give you matching loads using different powders by optimal barrel time. Can't find a powder or curious about a new one, go compare. No full load re workup. Very close.

I did a test on my 6x47L from my base 105 hvld 39.5 h4350, I loaded the comparable charge for rl16, rl26, and H4831sc. All shot .3 moa or better. Then I did the same with bullets using 105 rdf, 108s, and 110smks.
Same. All similar group sizes. Different poi for each bullet

I have been using QL for 5 years and have worked it with a large number of cartridges and calibers for many different shooters. Most important thing to learn is what parameters you can tweek and which ones to not touch.
