I've had this for several years in my reloading room, and it's marked Sinclair...but for the life of me I can't remember what it's for? I scanned through the online Sinclair catalog, but couldn't find it.

Can someone please help me identify this object?

Many thanks....

George

Just a guess but it looks like the base (with pieces missing and needing to be added) of a platform for checking bullet run out??

I think that it is a fixture/tool that was designed to let the user use a dial indicator to set a Sinclair neck turner. I forget what model. Obviously the dial indicator is missing.

Great post! Humility is a good thing! I'll be honest, too. I have found stuff in drawers and I couldn't tell you when I bought it or what it's for. These days, every new purchase goes in a bag with a note about it.;)

NOW I have a clue about that dial indicator that's been taking up space in a drawer for who knows how long....

Probably as long as the base has been taking up space on bench. o_O

Getting old is not for the faint of heart. Stay strong. We're all in this together!

If it's really getting bad, have your B12 levels checked. A relative was complaining of memory loss. Her MD had this test done and found her B12 was way low. When some people age, they loose the "Intrinsic Factor" that facilitates absorption of B12 from food. Without B12, you get really addled. She'll now have to get monthly B12 shots for the rest of her life.
