I quit

I am confident in this enough I am not gonna do anything else except load and shoot in the worse conditions I can and try and get better in my wind reading and flag watching and bench manners,,

when I got home from work about 7:10 it was dead ,,I left my flags up Thursday evening,,and I had 15 rounds left loaded and a clean rifle,,I put 2 clix right and 2 clix down from my marked zero and shot 3 foulers and then shot 10 rounds as fast as I could which was maybe 45 seconds,,that is a 100 yard 243 UBR target and the way I measured it was around .115 for 10 shots 100 yards,,

Lapua brass turned for a .266 neck in a .268 chamber with the 68 JDS BT bullet seated .018 in the lands with Fed 205 primers and 28.3 grs LT32

I have had rifles that would shoot a group like that now and then but this Leonard stocked older Farley action glue-in with a new Tim Claunch chambered Krieger .237 12 twist HV 24 inch 6mm PPC will pretty much do it ever time,,now if I could just keep it on that 11 dot..

sure is fun to shoot,,

pic of my personal home bench,,my load bench is just inside the basement door,,

my home range goes to 330 yards but is setup at 100 in this pic

10 rounds from right before dark

Nice shooting Mr.big !! I think I'd just shoot it as well. I need to work on my wind skills as well....

I think the air in Tennessee must be better than anywhere else in the country:)

Fantastic! Now you just have to find a club that holds matches just before dark.;) up to a dozen years ago or so, the IBS ran night shoots (under lights) at the Palmisano Memorial Range in Wapwallopen,PA. However, I doubt you'll ever come across another nightime BR shoot again. Yes, you are right, shoot when conditions are challenging if you want to win.

yea man,,I just wanted to confirm to myeslf that the load was ok,,I been doing all my shooting at home between noon and 3pm when wind and sun is at its worse and I have been getting better,,,shot 4 65s in a row Thursday with a front coming through with some nasty winds about 3PM,,,but I only waited about 10 minutes between those,,
shot 495 and 491 in my 2nd and 3rd UBR matches,,goal is to shoot a 500 this summer,,

I'd think about giving just a bit more neck clearance on my next batch of brass. It can head off mysterious issues.

Are you calling it a hummer yet? When you do then the problem will be when to use it and when to save it.
