I need some Clausing lathe parts!

It is a a small shaft that goes through the variable speed mechanism that works off the motor. It may be something that can be made if I get the cylinder that it fits through that is stuck in the other part of the variable speed pulley. It is approx 5.5" long threaded 1/4x28 on one end and appears to be drilled and reamed for an approx a .0625 dowel or roll pin. Easy to make but I need the cylinder that it fits through to come out first.

The parts that Mr. Snyder shows are different from mine and also from my parts breakdown. The shaft that has the hex head is not the same as mine. Mine is a 5.5" a long stud threaded 3/8"x 16 and the other end is drilled for a .0625 roll pin. I made a little tool to get the last cylinder out. I have some precision SS rod and will just make it. The problem was the roll pin broke and the outside variable pulley and bearings slid off the inner pulley. Thanks for the help. I will make the new stud, clean every thing up and pray that it will work.

Did you try Clausing direct? They MIGHT have it available. I was able to get several parts from them for my old 6300. Beware... they think quite highly of their $tuff!

Fortunately I've needed little for it. I will make the part that I know that it needs now.

Well, I'm old and slow. I made the 3/8"x5.5" rod. I threaded it 3/8x24 and drilled a dowel pin in the other end and reamed it. The little cylinder that slid on the other end was reamed for the slightly oversize dowel pin. Then I made a clamp to squeeze the vari- speed pulley together to enable me to slid the rest of the parts on the 5.5" rod. Guess what! It works! I just need to adjust the vari-speed pulley.

Oh, my only expense was a new 2" OD die in 3/8X24. I have several of the 1" OD dies, but they did not cut well.
