I need a bore guide for my .17 HMR.

Love the round but they sure get dirty quick and I don't like hitting the chamber and shoulder with the cleaning jag. What thoughts folks?

I made a .17 cal. bore guide using an old carbon arrow shaft and bushings to
center it, works great. A guy in PA use to make brass 1 piece 17 cal cleaning rods
and I picked up several for $20 each, with swivel heads.

Pro shot makes a good 17 cal cleaning rod, I have a Bore Tech guide (IIRC) for the Savage 93R17. I also have a aluminum bore guide by Proper RVB Precision but don't know if still offered.

Otis offered a pull thru type (twisted steel cable) and then there is the "patch worm" brand as well of pull thru's if that's your method.

I use a Tipton with aluminum jags and rifle specific guides for CZs & Anschutz. IIRC, Lucas brand?
