I.M.I. (K) ammo

I bought an estate load of various stuff. Included in one of the 27 moving boxes was some 22lr ammunition.
The boxes are all marked I.M.I. (K)

100 CARTRIDGES
RIM FIRE
.22 inch MARK 2
then the I.M.I. (K)
White wrap around label on a tan box

When I opened one box, it is base stamped "E", which I assume is Eley.

I put ten rounds in about 1/2" at 50 yards indoors.

Wish I had a couple cases.

Anybody here ever seen anything like this?

It's post WWII Eley made under contract for the British military. IMI (K) likely stands for Imperial Metal Industries (Kynoch).
