Is everyone OK with this? I'm not. I know there are supposed to be no politics on this site so color me an ignoramus but this is a bunch of bullshit and it seems to be fielding little resistance. I originally thought our govenor Shweitzer and Senators Baucus and Tester were jackasses,I'm a Montanan) but at least they are offering resistance to this bullshit idea. I've been stewing about this for a while now and since I've got good whiskey in me right now, I thought I'd bring it up in a few forums I belong to.

The government is painting a pretty picture that it's great for national security, but think of the consequences. Reduce terrorism? Bullshit. Harness further control on citizens? Yup.

I used to think the Patriot Act was an Ok thing since I have nothing to hide, but maybe I do. I don't need anyone knowing my whereabouts 100% of the time whether I am a criminal or not.

Hi Tex.. I live in Kalispell.. About all I can say is when it's too late we can turn around and say, "I f'ing told you.."

I was in the store yesterday, and watched as someone scanned their card to pay for their purchase.. I found myself wondering, "what's it gonna be like if I tell big brother to shove their I.D. card?....

Things are going to get real, real, bad.. And I don't mean the stupid fuel prices, food prices, ect.... I mean real, real bad..

I would imagine that you have already accepted the fact that you are part of an extremely small minority with the beliefs that you've got.. ,Me too)..

Those that are against the government, are going to be labeled as terrorists...

I just don't know how many "American" troops will fire on American citizens.. People that are clutching the constitution in their hands will be said to be inciting riots..

The huge majority of people are not hearing the same news as you, or I are hearing.. Including the huge majority of folks on this site..

I would say that most of these good people right here think we are off our "flippin' rocker"..

It's not that they are against us. It's just that they don't hear it or see it right now..

Tex, Hi.

I'm not one of your fellow countrymen, I am a born and bred in New Zealand. However, I read you rant and have to say I agree with you 100%.

You see, here in NZ all dog owners have to get their animals chipped - that is, pay money to get their animal injected with a microchip so that the authorities know who the dog belongs to.

My objection to this is that why should law abiding citizens have to comply with this when criminals and low lifers have no intention of doing so. Applies to gun registration, car registration etc

Some people in this country have seen dog chipping as a prelude to chipping people. Like a National ID you talk about.


None of these intrusive laws existed 10 years ago, no one in this country would have ever dreamed of such nonsense, but I'm convinced that these laws have been passed due to us having a Government who take great pleasure in sucking up to the U.N.

It makes me sick to think that a country like us be involved with an organisation that has countries with some of the worst human rights issues.

I'm new to this site also Texmontanan; If I didn't want to use my proper name here, I'd be out of here. That was my prerogative and it is yours also. If you are even talking about the policy here, then you knew coming in that it is the policy. Unlike the government store where you live by their rules or you work at changing these rules, this is a store where you pay the price posted or go to another store.
