I Cant wait for the 2024 NBRSA Score Nationals in Raton NM

I started the year right by shooting my first match of 2024 with my hunter rifle in March. I had to knock the rust off, but managed to have a couple of good targets. Problem is I followed those up with a couple of beow expectation targets.

We have been hearing from shooters who are preparing new rifles or at least getting their old Hunter Class rifles out to shoot both the Hunter and Varmint for Score nationals.

Shooting in every registered score match and most of the club matches within 175 miles from my house.

Put together both a new VFS rifle and a new Hunter rifle over the winter. Both are shooting very well. Busily making sure we have everything together for the Nationals.
Going to do my best to see that Al Nylus does not have to suffer that long ride home.

That’s my plan as well. My 200 yard shooting really sucked at Lake Charles last Sunday.

We have the Texas State in eleven days, then the Gulf Coast Region. Plus a 100 yard Club Match.

I will shoot The Blubonnet LV/Sporter Group Match in New Braunfels as well as the Texas State Unlimited/HV in Lubbock.

Just have to work on 200.

I have shared my dad's words of wisdom with many shooters including big Dave Coots. Although my dad passed away many years ago, I think his advice is still valid. He said, "Save your bragging until the contest is over...it may not be be needed".
