I broke my primer record today!

IIRC when I started in 76 or 77 I think they were $6. Sierra 55gr were $3.10 and Hor 55FMJ were $2.60. That was for buying in 1K lots. H335 was $3.17 then the surplus ran out and everyone freaked when it went to $5.75 or thereabouts. Was kinda reasonable to load 100rds back then.lol Doing a mag dump with my POS mini-14 that shot like crap out of he box didn't cost much. Had bought a new heavy barrel Ruger Swift in spring of '76 that shot pretty decent so the mini-14's 4" group or more with their peep sight was pretty disappointing. Was mainly good for making noise and keeping you at the loading bench. Didn't keep it too long.

Like many of you I have my supplies stored up but it's been serious lately... I have just basically stopped shooting centerfire exept for skeet shooting.... I can still get that stuff... They may not going to be having black Friday anymore but it's like that when my local academy puts out ammo , people lined up outside running in like the end is near... Uhhggg bring it on already...lol

$6.48 for cci#41 100 primers, 100 per customer was the limit.
I feel great!
That is crazy for sure. Not sure if i should shoot up what i have and enjoy it while I can or save it for later. I am seriously short of LR primers as I wasnt paying attention close enough. shame on me

I paid way too much the other day for 1k each of LR,and LP. But it was at a gun store that has literally given me stuff over the years. They don't move that much loading stuff. No small primers.

I shoot very often, just not in large volumes. 99.9% cast. Gotta a new to me Lyman 429244 GC mould. Using in a '80(1st year issue) "early model" 4" 629 with a stage ll action job. Will burn up 50-100 mid level loads to get reacquainted and then bump it up to go kill a cpl deer.

I am 73. I plan to enjoy shooting while I can. Have a couple thousand primers not going to waste them will use them while I can. Enjoy shooting Perk

Your problem is that you don't live down the road from me.

I bought several cases of Fed 215M from Sportsmen's for $27.99 each in June. Had to hit 'em over several days as they limited purchase to 1,000 per day.

Plan your work. Work your plan.
I felt like I won the lottery.
