I have scoured the internet looking for the answer you seek, but have not found an abundance of answers.

From what I can figure, TL Tech made the actions for Legendary Arms Works, but they (LAW) have had some troubles not related to the action with their rifles. LAW is "moving" and TL relicensed a very similar action (no 3 pos safety) to the guy trying to sell them on here. From what I can tell, the model being sold is a production quality action that will probably shoot as good as the barrel you put on it. If it came with a trigger and bottom metal it would be one heck of a deal. There are a number of very detailed threads on 24 hour campfire that detail what I've repeated (Search Jack Lyons). For the record, I don't know any of this first-hand so consider it internet folklore.

Everyone who has contacted the seller has stated that all their questions were answered to their satisfaction, so call the guy and he'll tell you everything you need to know.

Thank you for the information, I sent Jack an Email if he calls me I will report back with what he said. In the meantime I will follow your lead and research the (LAW) actions. Tony

Someone said that Ed Brown used this action to make his custom rifles on.
The had the 3 position safety.

Ed Brown licensed the M704 action to LAW and it has been simplified to be cheaper to produce by TL Tech (They have a white paper about it on their website). While the status of the licensing agreements is unknown by me, the Ed Brown 704 was very expensive and was known to be a custom quality action while this one is not. How good is it, I have no idea?! Really want one though.

there are a couple threads on the long range hunting forum . Jack has said these are NOT law actions and he is not affiliated with law , and did not buy law equipment .

I talked to Jack Lyons about the actions today, he said that he contracted T&L Technology to do the machaning on these actions and he receives the action body and bolt parts from them and has them either blued or cerecoated, and them assembles them himself and sells them. I did not discuss any licensing or patent details as I really don't care about that. Jack did say with these actions thier is no need for any trueing or other work nessasary before building on them. What is included with the purchase is 1. A complete action with a recoil lug and 2 piece base that is either Blued,in the white or cerecoated . jack said he will time and install the customers trigger for no charge.

I spoke with Jack a few weeks ago about the actions as well. He said it is possible to buy 2 bolts (example, standard and magnum bolt faces) and have them timed for the action and trigger. I was wanting to build a switch barrel rifle and that would work great.

From what I gathered during our conversation, the "tactical" action is basically the same as a standard action.

I had also sent a couple emails asking about magazine compatibility (AICS, AW) but never received a response; forgot to ask while we were talking.

Curious to hear from some of the folks who have bought these recently.
