Same. I have happily paid the Gold Membership since it was instituted. I think Gold and, especially, Site Sponsors should not he held back with even the guys who have never been a paid member.

Also, if there were two more market place categories: Reloading Components and Reloading tools, that would be helpful as well

I'm not a fan of three day bumps, 24 hours per is plenty.

A couple more categories would certainly be welcome, especially having complete guns in their own category separate from parts.

It's not fair to the others using the forum to sell. Replying is still bumping your ad to the front when you can send a pm to the interested party.

Bumping 3 times per day is just dumb, if you think you need to advertise that much, then you are selling as a business, become a sponsor or get your own business website going. Everything will just be pushed back and the people that aren't on here 24/7 will get pushed way back when they paid just as much as you for their gold membership

Same thing with people making 5 posts for 5 different scopes and taking up 5 places on the front page. Just make 1 post with 5 scopes in it

Here I actually do like snipershide's wts rules, only bumping every 2 days and only 1 front page post allowed at a time

24 hour bump rule on Gold, 48 on Silver and non-paying members are no longer to place ads at all.
Most all the related forums now have paying members now. Call it Gold, Silver, Supporter, whatever; try putting an ad on SH without being a $19.95 PER MONTH Supporter.
Some forum classifieds now have filter ability. I can filter ads by firearms, optics, accessories, rimfire, etc and not have to look through pages of ads to try and find what I want to see.

I agree that it should be regulated by Gold, Silver, and non paying members. S/H had lost members when they went to 19.95 a month, just a little to high IMO. This forums pricing is a fare deal and if you can't pay the Silver price to post for sale, then it is what it is.

Still the best forum going, bare none.

I have been a site sponsor for years. I wasn't selling anything, just trying to buy a used BR stock for a rifle that I was building to loan to new shooters at our club.

I agree a bump isn’t needed as often as some people do it. I do wish I had the ability to reply to questions without pming the person if they ask a question on the post. If you quote somebody else’s post to answer a question it should allow it instead of saying you can’t bump.

Exactly...the question you answer on the post assists other wiyh the info that they would not see in a PM. Sure, we can be more specific in iyem descriptions, but there will alway be a question someone will pose that was not covered. Never fails.

Oh no, people might have to wait a day to see your reply. Or u could just modify your original post to contain the info someone asked about it. Problem solved, no bump and everyone has that info

This thread is a good example, it keeps getting bumped to the front page over and over again. How many questions do you allow? Do they have to be good questions? Multiple people asking the same question again and again giving free bumps to the seller, how do you moderate that?

Its much easier to moderate if 1 rule can be applied to all, its not that big of a burden to not bump more than the limit allows.

FYI, under our rules, the creator of a sale thread may respond to a post by any third party without delay. Repeat, the anti-bumping rule does NOT block a seller from immediately answering a post by a different member. However, once the seller has posted his answer/reply in a public post, then the anti-bump limitation re-activates.
