Hydro Dip Company Recommendation

I need a McMillan F-Class stock hydro dipped (water transfer printing) and then finished with a high quality gloss clear coat.

Any first hand experience with a reliable company that does outstanding work without saying stuff like, "Well I work out of my bath tub which is leaking pretty bad right now. Maybe I could get to you after the end of deer season".

That is easy, Mike Robinson at Tactical Graphics in Melbourne, FL. He has finished about a dozen stocks for me. His work is fantastic. He is very fast too. I don't think he ever had a stock of mine for more than two weeks.

Really not hard to do it yourself. I don't use a bathtub lol but they come out pretty nice. I just finished a couple

I'm a DIY kind of guy and back-in-the-day I wouldn't hesitate to tackle this job myself. I would imagine the dipping itself isn't too difficult.

But when I moved to Italy I sold all my automotive/marine painting equipment and supplies. I know how much it costs to gear up to spray a flawless 2 part clear coat and it's WAY more than the cost of the clear material alone. So, since this is very likely to be a one time event, I'm going to hire it out.

Thanks to you (and everyone else) for your recommendation(s). I called Tactical Graphics and made arrangements to send my stock to them; for several reasons.

They were knowledgeable and understood my questions, some other companies seemed .......... um......... not as sharp.

They have a fast turn around claimed to be 6 or 7 business days, others told me 3 to 4 weeks.

I wanted a two-tone base coat and they were the only company I contacted that understood what I wanted and were willing to comply (at a small extra charge).

Of course, the proof of the pudding is in the eating, but I think I selected the correct company. Time will tell.

Thanks.

You won't be sorry. I always get Mike to do a couple primer coats. He also clear coats over the film for me. It all costs a little more but they look great and wear well.
