Hydraulic form dies

Are hyd form dies worth using for case forming? I'll be getting a 6mm Dasher in the autumn, unfortunately I won't have a forming barrel so rather than waste barrel life forming cases would I get good results with hyd dies or would it be a waste of time and would I be better fire forming?

Maybe nice to have, but extra work that is unneeded. You can shoot high 590s or even 600 in F-class matches while fire-forming. So, why do this as a separate step? The false-shoulder fire-forming method works very well and is very accurate. Shoot a match while fire-forming. If you don't score a 600 at the match, you can always use the excuse, " I was fire-forming." :)

This summer bullets .com I believe is having norma make it and it should be here this summer, just food for thought.

Go with DJ's Brass. I've watched him form brass with his custom hydraulic dies. There is alot more to it than you would think if you want perfect brass.
